Automation Engineer

A Vacancy exists in our clients E&I Department for which applications are invited from employees who meet the following requirements:

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical/electronic engineering maintenance roles in an industrial/ manufacturing environment, with exposure to the main areas of electrical engineering and automation.
• Advanced knowledge on Siemens PLCs, VSDs, Soft Starters and DCS
• Technical understanding of electrical/electronic systems
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Management and monitoring of health, safety, environmental, and quality in accordance with applicable statutory and Engineering standards
• Ensuring sound and effective financial management
• Building solid customer and supplier relationships (both internal and external to the organization)
• Develop operational implementation plans aligned to departmental objectives (Business Planning Management)
• Automation Engineering support to the operation
• Effective and efficient reporting to enable strategic decision-making
• Effective people management
• Ensuring sustainability of automation team functions (equipment, processes, and team)
