Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues in various types of vehicles. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing routine services, and executing complex repairs on customer vehicles, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and technical problems.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Accurately and efficiently repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues.
- Interpret and analyze technical service bulletins, service manuals, and specifications to ensure accurate repair procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs, cost estimates, and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.
- Grade 12 or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive training program is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Automotive Mechanic, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in various types of vehicles.
- Solid understanding of automotive systems, components, and operating principles.
- Familiarity with the use of diagnostic equipment and software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
