An exciting opportunity exists for a Junior Psychometrist at AVI HR Services, part of National Brands Limited in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The purpose of the role is to oversee the psychometric function and provide people measurement services that support decision making during the recruitment, development and talent management processes. This role drives the implementation of assessments at all levels across the organization and requires close consultation and collaboration with Business Units to understand business needs and provide recommendations. It includes managing the psychometric assessment services (including developing talent metrics and analysing data) whilst consulting on talent development projects, through providing insight on the selection and development of high-performing talent.

Job Specification

Key Performance Areas:
  • Assessment:
  • Provide AVI wide assessment service in support of HR processes including Recruitment and Selection, Succession planning, Talent Management. Ensure expert technical knowledge and understanding on assessments and projects are provided
  • Manage the AVI mailbox and any queries regarding assessments
  • Manage the candidate feedback tracker and book candidate feedbacks within 3 months of candidate placement
  • Stats Report:
  • Provide operational reports which provide insights into the day-to-day management and efficiency of the functional area in the monthly Recruitment and Assessment Team meeting
  • Legal & Professional Requirements:
  • Ensure adherence to effective controls and corporate governance within the operational assessment area to ensure adherence to best practice guidelines and rules, regulations, and best practices of the Health Professions Council of South Africa
  • Ensure up to date on professional continued professional development points
  • Business Relationships:
  • Partner with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery and improve assessment practices
  • Collaborate with the Recruitment team to understand job requirements and gain clarity on candidate assessment requests or system enquiries
  • Work closely with the Project management team to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Create a supportive and engaging candidate experience during assessment feedback
  • Administer:
  • Oversee and administer the assessment of internal and external applicants skills, abilities and personal characteristics for a specific position across all levels in business, as and when required
  • Report:
  • Collate the scores for certain assessments and interpret psychometric assessment data to provide input into talent decisions and insights. Provide comparative summaries where needs be
  • Feedback:
  • Provide feedback regarding assessment data on CM and lower assessments that take place throughout the business
  • Provide developmental feedback on assessment results to candidates to highlight their particular strengths as well as areas that can be focused on in order to improve performance in the role
  • Assessment Billing:
  • Collate the assessment billing for all assessments done throughout the AVI Group
  • Accurately process the billing, send for review and submit to finance within the required turnaround time (22 nd of every month)
Minimum Requirements

Experience:
  • 2 years corporate assessment experience (excluding psychometric internship)
  • 3 years experience in setting up, administration, report writing and giving feedback across a broad spectrum of assessments (personality, cognitive, etc)
  • 3 years experience integrating various assessment results into a report
Qualifications
  • Registered with the HPCSA as Psychometrist (Independent Practise)
  • Compliant in terms of CPD
Essential Accredited

Accredited in the use of the various occupational assessments:
  • EQ-I 2.0 (MHS)
  • Saville range of assessments (Saville)
  • AON range of assessments
Desirable Accredited
  • HOGAN suite of assessments (JvR)
  • CPP (Cognadev)
Additional Requirements
  • Understanding of the relevant legislation such as the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment, HPCSA with regards to psychometric assessments
