Is this you?
You've studied financial planning and done some work in the background but you really want to start working with clients, starting as a Counsellor is the best way to gear yourself up.
What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
Your role will be to interact with retirement fund members who are nearing retirement, these meetings are done in person or telephonically. You'll communicate the options available to them, collect information to complete a financial planning report and connect them to a Financial Advisor. You'll essentially be assisting them in making an informed decision before they retire, you will not be giving financial advice.
Where you'll be doing it
A small yet highly successful specialist retirement consulting firm based in Tygervalley. They are independent and focus on creating customised solutions for their clients while providing counselling in compliance with Retirement Fund default regulations. You'll be office based in modern professional offices.
What you'll need
This opportunity will set you up to become a Financial Planner so a completed degree in Financial Planning is ideal with plans to qualify as a CFP. Experience wise you need to have either worked as a Financial Planner or in a role supporting Financial Planners or Wealth Managers. You need to be fluent in English and ideally Xhosa or Afrikaans.
What you'll get
Professional working environment while being part of a small team that will guide you as you get up to speed and a good monthly basic salary is offered.
