- Matric (Grade 12).
- Basic knowledge of freightware.
- Computer literate.
- Own transport (afternoon shift 13h00 to 23h00)
- Good communication skills.
- Able to execute specific tasks related to logistics under direct supervision.
- Able to execute tasks related to logistics under general supervision.
- Able to perform basic and repetitive computer functions under direct supervision in own work area.
- Able to apply computer knowledge relevant to own job functions under general supervision.
- Able to enter and access work related information via PC or terminal for own work responsibilities / functions.
- Debriefing of PODs as per the SOP and ensure all details are captured on the Access system and record the driver delivery manifest on the debriefing report and sent to all relevant individuals (rectifications and claims to be debriefed and reported to Team Leader).
- Debriefing of returns (Full & Part) as per the SOP and ensure that debriefing report is completed accurately and that failed delivery invoices are endorsed by the customer.
- Ensure that the correct parcels are scanned back and coded correctly on Freightware and noted on the debriefing report.
- Ensure that the customer failed deliveries and company failed deliveries are sorted correctly to be handed to the Hub, Bookings department or to the Query cage awaiting authorization.
- Manage freight ensuring that all freight returned has the proper paperwork attached when pulled into cage, making sure that it is followed up on daily and that all freight authorised freight processed accordingly.
- Debriefing of contents refusals as per the SOP and ensuring that the drivers delivery manifests are recorded on the Debriefing Report and that the contents returns are received as per customers endorsement on the POD or Refusal Note and included a Call Centre Number.
- Ensure that the Waybill is completed for Contents Returns and cross-referenced to the original Delivery Note/POD.
- Debriefing of problem PODs, ensuring that the drivers delivery manifest is recorded on the debriefing report as well as in the POD rectification book.
- Report all debriefing discrepancies (i.e. wrong combination of loads, incorrect loading, drivers with consistent RDs, drivers with consistent problem PODs and claims and all problem related issues).
- Ensure that all debriefed returns to RLOG are debriefed with correct reason codes, after debriefing parcels are locked in query cage.
- Report all claims and potential claims as per debriefing report and ensure all involved are notified of driver involved in claim/potential claim for the driver to be held back the next morning, so that the claim can be resolved between agency and transport dept.
- Monitor and give feedback at Ops Meeting on the applicable status reports
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure that the workplace is always clean and tidy and dressed in uniform.
- Housekeeping includes Debriefing cage.
- Assisting with transport debriefing when necessary.
- Follow up and resolving of status 38.
- Hub reports for all damaged freight in the cage
- Assist with driver call centre reports/ref numbers.
- Assist with POD capturing in the evenings and ensuring correct delivery dates are captured.
- Call all drivers to follow up that collections are done on time and if not give feedback on what the problem is.
