Responsible for ensuring all transactions are recorded in the correct ledger and computing, classifying and recording numerical data to keep financial records. Qualifications Certificate, Diploma, National Diploma or BCom Accounting Experience At least 5 years’ experience within a financial or similar environment Knowledge, skills & abilities General accounting system knowledge – various accounting systems (we will be working on QuickBooks Working knowledge of relevant legislation Advanced knowledge of Excel and proven track record in use thereof KEY RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Finalises and interprets accounts
- Assists with the drafting of financial statements
- Maintains financial records and prepares general ledger accounts
- Calculates and records statutory returns
- Establishes, maintains and uses an integrated end to end computerised bookkeeping system
