Bookkeeper

One of the largest, national FMCG Distributors of Dry, Frozen and Perishable goods is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their finance team.

Requirements

• Matric
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounts would be advantageous
• Min 2yrs experience in accounts within a similar industry is required
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of Cashbook, accruals, depreciation and balance sheets
• Knowledge of Journals

Responsibilities

• Books to trial balance
• Manage a finance team
• Print bank statements daily for Debtors department
• Ensure creditors are paid according to schedule so discounts can be secured
• Assisting in resolving creditor queries on trial balances
• Uploading of daily Standard Bank payments for releasing by Financial Manager
• Reconciling of cash cards weekly
• Final reconciling of cash cards on month end
• Monthly preparation of Fixed Asset Register
• Reconcile Wesbank account for PE, EL and George
• Process fuel cards as per the schedule
• Assist the Finanical Manager with any ad-hoc duties
