About Boffix: Boffix is an innovative company providing business support services. We are looking for a highly skilled and QuickBooks Core Certified Bookkeeper with expertise in UK VAT regulations to join our business services/bookkeeping team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining precise financial records and enhancing the financial procedures within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Accurately record financial transactions and maintain up-to-date ledgers.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of accounts to ensure their accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage invoicing, follow up on payments, and handle timely payment of bills.
Payroll Administration: Process payroll, ensuring accuracy in calculations and compliance with regulations.
Tax Filing: Assist with tax preparation and filings, maintaining compliance with all regulations, including UK VAT.
End-of-Year Reporting: Aid in the compilation of reports for year-end analysis.
Business Strategy Support: Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting.
Process Improvement: Utilise QuickBooks for financial management and recommend improvements to processes.
Training & Support: Provide QuickBooks training to staff and support clients with financial queries.
Client Liaison: Engage with clients, accountants, and tax authorities as needed.
Requirements Qualifications:
Proven bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Core Certification are required.
Experience with other cloud-based accounting software, such as Xero, is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of UK VAT and experience with HMRC regulations and requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
Strong communication skills and adeptness in managing client relationships.
