This role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and directly reports to Business Unit Director of Diabetes.
The position
As a Brand Manager Diabetes, your key responsibilities will be driving the implementation of strategies & product launch plans. Preparing annual sales & promotional budgets. Presenting product training to representatives & support staff. Also, keeping all documentation as required by the current procedures in place. Adherence to policies and procedures and development of self or others.
- Strategic Development of marketing plans for Diabetes portfolio Market surveillance monitor IMS, IQVIA & Impact RX data to assess trends, and changes and implement strategies appropriately. Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional strategies and material through co-travel with representatives
- On-going working relationships with Sales Management to assess their needs and incorporate ideas where applicable. Develop working relationships with the medical department to align marketing and medical strategies
- Regular communications with logistics and finance departments regarding product-related issues. HQ relations with relevant departments. Identify and establish contact with KOLs relevant to the portfolio. Develop new KOL through CPDs
- Promotes/assists with the implementation of NN way of management and the fundamentals by constantly understanding, implementing, and achieving these goals and by setting an example in terms of own behaviour.
- In compliance with NN policies, NNWOM, and procedures. Treat the following as required Company Computers and Premises.
You have a relevant academic degree or a masters degree from a reputable university, preferably a marketing or equivalent. You have a Pharmaceutical Product Management experience of a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role preferably in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
You have excellent command over both written and spoken English and have a relevant business background. Having proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.
- You have pharmaceutical sales experience, decision-making, and problem-solving skills and excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to negotiate.
- You have the ability to expand stakeholder relationships at all levels within your locality though continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- You are proactive and accountable with a clear drive for the delivery of your plan and making things happen. Able to balance multiple responsibilities, client deliverables, and internal obligations
- You should also ideally demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with stakeholders, business development, and drive their personal development.
