Broker Consultant
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining broker relationships in the Institutional broker market.
- Marketing and enhancing the company's brand in the Institutional broker market.
- Developing and implementing sales strategy together with the Group Risk Sales Manager for the Institutional broker market.
- New business pipeline review, follow-up and tracking
- Identifying new business opportunities and working in collaboration with internal departments.
- Identifying and working with other Group Business Units on cross selling opportunities
- Client Presentations.
- Dealing with queries and providing information on a wide range of sales and service issues.
- Compiling management reports and statistics.
- Liaising with internal departments on processing issues.
- Providing feedback to product development on new product offerings from distribution channels.
- Keeping up-to-date with competitor product and service offering and industry developments.
- Participating in proactive sales and marketing initiatives.
- Client entertainment.
Minimum Requirements:
- The ideal candidate must have matric and must have completed a relevant degree or diploma (e.g. CFP; Business degree or diploma)
- Own transport and drivers license is essential
- The candidate must be willing to travel across South Africa
- Must have sound knowledge of group risk benefits
- Must have knowledge of underwriting processes
- Must have knowledge of employee benefits
- Must have broker consulting experience within the group risk or individual life
- Must have a proven sales track record
