BU South ESG Manager

Job Purpose: Reporting into the Corporate Affairs function, this role is responsible for leading the ESG partnerships, reporting and research portfolio for all markets across the Africa Bu South region (South Africa, Namibia, eSwatini and Lesotho). The ESG manager will also shape and look after strategic corporate affairs sustainability projects surrounding our business operations in the BU South region (e.g. water security) working closely with the zone and global sustainability team.

Key roles and responsibilities:
Partnerships
-Build and qualify a pipeline of potential partners to invest in our ESG programmes in the private, public and NGO sectors
-Engage and draft relevant proposals for prospective partners
-Formalise and oversee execution of partnerships including relevant partnership agreements

Reporting
-Manage local ESG reporting portfolio including B-BBEE, impact assessments, ESG report
-Manage ESG reporting to Global including smart drinking, ESG investments

Research
-SAB Representative on industry research working group Responsible for reviewing research scope and methodologies linking with internal subject matter experts
-Responsible for managing information on responsible consumption (accuracy, accessibility, completeness)
-Ensure alignment of all stakeholders on sources of data relating to the alcohol consumption

Sustainability projects
-Working closely with Africa Sustainability Team and stakeholder to ensure water security in communities surrounding operations

Reputation
-Custodian of ESG facts feeding the storytelling to the corporate brand team
-Roll-out annual Beyond Awards

Profile

Minimum requirement: Relevant:
University Degree in an applicable field
Good understanding of the trade environment (outlets in townships)
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Intermediate excel capability
Understanding of research in the academic environment and the ability to gather peer reviewed information
Required:
