Who we are looking for
We are currently looking for a strong healthcare profile with the right attitude to join our Market Access team in the role of Business Unit Head Hemophilia & Rare Disease.
OBJECTIVES
- As an empowered leader and the face of Takeda, the role will collaborate closely with all partners directly touching the Hemophilia patient journey, gaining a deeper understanding of patient and Health Care Professional (HCP) needs and co-creating meaningful solutions for maximum impact.
- Strategic management & implementation of all aspects related to the availability, marketing, and access (funding and pricing) of Takedas Haemophilia portfolio in both Private & Public sectors - focused on Feiba.
- Map all key stakeholders in the Public and Private sector, nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Key influencers, Health Care Officials (HCO), prescribers and dispensers at relevant information ensuring Feiba is top of mind.
- Mapping of the influence networks of HCOs and HCPs with private and public payers. Understanding of their methods of clinical & economic evaluations for protocol/formulary inclusion, product acquisition and dispensing of treatments, as well as HCO value recognition, remuneration models and financial flows.
- Establish and advance Takeda as a partner of the RSA government at all relevant levels, including the national Department of Health, through effective management of external relationships and fostering partnerships in the Haemophilia therapeutic area to improve access to Feiba and prepare for the successful launch of future brands in the Public sector.
- Introduce Feiba STAR in both the public and private sector, for patients with Haemophilia.
- Provide guidance as required w.r.tFeiba/Feiba STAR in government tender & buil capabilities in the private sector.
- Collaboration & support of cross-functional teams to achieve Takedas business objectives - focus on both Public and Private sector identification and addressing unmet need(s) and leveraging opportunities across the patient journey.
- General funding/access support - Private sector.
- Embrace and apply Takeda values, brought to life through actions based on Patient Trust Reputation Business, in that order in all decisions.
- Identify shared purpose among stakeholders and leverage this to co-create solutions with stakeholders.
- Develops, implements, and manages product strategies in conjunction with Commercial, Medical, Access & Pricing. Oversees the entire patient journey by monitoring the impact of initiatives.
- Acts as the primary point of contact of Feiba, be responsible for territory management and establish strong partnerships with key decision makers and all relevant stakeholders, including payers both Private & Public Sectors.
- Develop and implement customer segmentation strategies for both public and private sectors to ensure effective engagement and relationship management.
- Act as the primary Relationship Manager for the Department of Health (DoH) and establish regular planning and forecast meetings with hospital policy and supply managers.
- Conduct quarterly performance review meetings with the DoH and track progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor tender requirements and submit documentation for new tender(s) timeously to ensure ongoing inclusion of Feiba/Feiba STAR.
- Ensure market access and pricing governance is met for Public sector e.g., tenders, systems and processes & other access solutions, as well as Private sector - focus on Feiba. Support other brands, where required.
- Coordinate with HCPs to engage with Public and Private sectors on education, training, and connecting with patient organizations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver commitments and align all activities with the Ethics and Compliance (E&C) Head when working with government officials.
- Rebrand Feiba with Takeda logo and develop/coordinate support material for the transition to the Takeda branding.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding partnering capability by removing roadblocks and optimizing the patient experience. Support key projects by timely analyzing market intelligence with qualitative and quantitative approaches for the successful launch of Feiba STAR.
- Supporting reimbursement of Primary Immunodeficiencies (PID) and drive the Private and Public access strategy for Hereditary (HAE).
- Part of the cross-functional team, providing insights, strategic guidance & general support for implementation of identified projects in

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in health economics, medicine, economic or scientific education.
- 5+ years experience in Pharm/Biotech company with a strong scientific and patient centric approach.
- 2+ years experience in marketing/market access related role.
- Proven track record leading effective high performing teams and implementing innovative access programs to broaden access.
- Experience in both the public and private sector will be an added advantage.
