The successful incumbent will handle all filing with the UK Local Authorities, Government and Fire Brigade relating to Hire Rise buildings that are managed.
For this reason, we are looking for someone with strong health and safety knowledge and logic so that we can adapt their skills and understanding to the legislation and requirements.
R30K basic pm | full time | Permanent | Hybrid - Century City A brief description of the role involves:
- Collate and maintain required documentation as per the Act
- Creation and updating of checklists with requirements
- Source, generate and obtain documents
- Arranging and obtaining surveys, certificates and reports
- Creating overviews on all unattended items, tracking and chasing
- Liaising with Property Management Team to address unattended faults
- Keeping all records up to date and reporting to management and authorities
- Updating and renewals when requires
- Preserve all information as per the Building Safety Act
- Liaising with residents (both tenants and owners) and ensure surveys are completed following circulation of Health and Safety Information to ensure it is understood
- Registration of HRB (high rise buildings)
- Building Safety Case and Building Safety Case Report (summary of the Case) for each building
- Compiling Safety Case Reports with the relevant documents
- Case reports include: The fire safety strategy (design) for the building (this is not the same as a fire evacuation strategy, which is only an instruction as to how to behave in the event of a fire)
- The digital floor plans that can be kept up to date and where possible as built or at least Construction drawings for the block
- Knowledge of the compartmentation of the building -usually by inspection such as we do with fire doors. But also so-called type 4 surveys
- An External Wall Fire Risk Appraisal (EWFRA -usually done to the PAS9980 standard)
- A visual Structural Survey (and possible intrusive survey if questions arise)
- The H&SFRA and Asbestos Inspection
