Role Headline
Implements superior finance policies, guidelines and procedures for effective Business Administration, for a functional organization unit assigned. Governs the financial operations, and supports accountable unit Head collaboratively. Manages controlling & reporting and commercial tasks to directly support effective and profitable Business and supports accountable management in assigned area of responsibility.
Responsibilities of the Role
Contributes to definition, and ensures implementation of superior financial strategy, policies and guidelines.
- Supports accountable Unit or Functional Head, provides advice and proposes measures regarding Finance / Business Administration.
- Develops and implements financial and business administration policies, standards and procedures, for the assigned organization unit.
- Ensures effective financial analysis, planning and controlling activities, and all related business administration activities.
- Oversees and ensures completion of all accounting, financial statements and reporting, and other finance related operations.
- Takes decisions on treasury management, optimized capital financing structure and tax compliance management.
- Ensures compliant and standardized contract management, in all relevant business cases (supplier, customer, service providers)
- Ensures analysis and evaluation of the product or project portfolio, and evaluates capital expenditure proposals.
- Collaborates in the preparation of complex bids or tenders for project business.
- Leads the organization assigned.
- Manages the assigned Finance / Business Administration organization.
- Manages or contributes to ongoing optimization processes to ensure rationalization potential and to optimize productivity.
- May coordinate risk and internal control management (incl. ERM, internal regulations).
- Manages finance projects and/or processes including associated consulting in area of the respective BI content and / or application.
- Encourage and support the Jnr team members with their professional development through growth talks, guidance, coaching and mentoring
- Relevant Degree in Finance/Accounting and Controlling
- 10 Years of relevant commercial experience in a variety of functions within different BU's and / or Corporate Functions e.g. controlling, project management, sales commercial
- Exposure to variety of business (project / product / service) and cycles (start-up, growth, mature, decline)
- Min of 3 years experience in disciplinary management of a team of employees
- Minimum of one international assignment of at least 18 months (advantageous)

- Good understanding of project business and related contractual knowledge
- Ability and willingness to challenge status quo
- Willingness to get directly involved with operational matters
- Strong communication skills; must be able to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new challenges in changing environment

- Strong line management and ability to give clear guidance to the organization
- Ability to coach and mentor Jnr Staff
External: Customers, Government Authorities, Suppliers, Financial Institutions, Auditors
Internal: Divisional BU management, HQ Management, Country Management, Corporate/ Support Functions, Branch and Assigned Country Management
