Qualifications/Experience
- Qualification in IT Business Analysis (Diploma / Degree) or related experience
- 3 to 5+ years experience in this field
- 4-5 years overall BA experience of which 2 must be on custom developed solutions.
- Agile working experience (Mandatory).
- Risk Identification, Assessment and Mitigation.
- Requirements eliciting and analysis.
- Requirements management, communication, and organisation, including gathering, reviewing, and analysing functional requirements in time for the next sprint with stakeholders sign-off.
- Assisting with the business case.
- Presenting analysis and user stories to the project team.
- Backlog prioritisation with stakeholders.
- Document requirements in Confluence with appropriate detailed user stories in JIRA including acceptance criteria.
- Planning and monitoring skills.
- Translating and simplifying requirements.
- Document requirements in appropriate formats depending on methodology followed.
- Understanding of integration between different technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Understanding of Databases and Infrastructure.
- Assist with Compliance Documentation.
- Assist with Manual Testing when required.
- Flexibility to take on different tasks to assist the team.
- Trouble shooting and defect investigation with developers and testers.
- Writing SQL Queries (advantageous).
- Familiar with Postman and Swagger (advantageous).
- Organised and highly analytical mind-set.
- Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analysing functional requirements with Stakeholders.
- Structuring and prioritising business requirements and communicating plans with stakeholders for review and approval.
- Translating and simplifying business requirements into technical requirements.
- Prioritize and organize requirements and create conceptual prototypes.
- Document requirements in appropriate detailed user stories on JIRA (Agile methodology) including acceptance criteria for testers.
- Master strategic business process modelling, traceability and quality management techniques.
- Apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
- Understanding of systems engineering concepts.
- Identify effective solutions for business software system issues.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Acts as a bridge and channel between the customer and the development team.
- Collaborating with other Business Analyst, Project Lead, and developers to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent.
- Multi-tasking.
- Participate in daily stand-ups.
- Review and present proposals to IT Project Lead, DevOps Team, QA Team, and Product Owner / Business team.
- Ensure compliance & adherence to standards for audit adherence and quality assurance.
- Actively participate and contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, story size estimation, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Documentation in Confluence.
- Perform demos of user stories in Agile ceremonies.
- System testing/parallel runs.
- User training.
- Ensure user sign-off.
- Preparation/Updating of user and operation manuals.
- Production support & hyper-care after production deployments.
- 2nd and 3rd level support of the system/product.
- Assist with the identification and management of risks, and potential issues.
