Job Summary
CIB Investment Banking Division is currently seeking a special Business Analyst to provide support in the financial reporting and operating model . The candidate must have strong financial background, minimum 3 years banking experience and a good understanding of debt products.
Job Description
Accountability: Business Analysis
- Assisting Senior Business Analysts with desk level P&L queries and other financial and strategic reporting requirements
- Analysis of Pipeline activity in Salesforce and analysing of client data split at a product level (Salesforce, MyMI, Front Arena etc.) and reporting on trends and themes.
- Assist to drive the readiness of the Basel 4 impact on RWAs and SARB RWA reporting.
- Preparation of IBD induction slides, accurate and complete information of the various products
- Cost analysis and ARO recharge model
- Provide overall support to the key business analysis deliverables, namely league tables, deal highlights, cost reviews, pipeline activity and headcount analysis.
- Special projects as required. (ACBS, Jibar remediation)
- Partner with Business Analyst and Finance on desk P&L issues and own the relationship to ensure queries are resolved.
- Partner with Finance to ensure timely and accurate cost and revenue reporting, budgeting and tracking of actuals and forecasts.
- Ensure that all internal reporting is done on time and to the highest quality standards
- Review and assist in creating accurate and complete reporting (together with infrastructure partners) such as product dashboards, pipeline activity, regional reporting etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal role players e.g. Finance, MYMI, Desk Heads, in country teams
- Prepare presentations for internal meetings, induction, strategic objectives etc.
- Strong Finance experience
- Understanding of Debt Finance products, financing terminology and processes
- Ability to perform under strong pressure with very high attention to detail
- Strong analytical and commercial awareness skills
- Comfortable dealing with spreadsheets and financial models
- Ability to produce clear presentations of complex data analyses
- Ability to think laterally and solve problems with commercial soundness
- Strong work ethic and demonstrable history of achievement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capable of acting on own initiative with a self disciplined approach to work
- Sufficient knowledge of compliance, Barclays business principles and corporate values, key applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, or equivalent qualification
- 3-5 Years comparable experience preferably in Financial Services Industry
