As the BD Associate, you will be positioned to identify and acquire potential customers by providing instant access to pipeline and network, including but not limited to suppliers, off-takers, enterprises, who can be onboarded on the marketplace platform. You will be responsible for identifying gaps and liaising with the Head of Commercial to fill in these opportunity gaps. The Business Development Associate ensures the goals are achieved within the set strategy and objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.
- Identify and target potential clients, industries, and market segments.
- Generate new business opportunities and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional customer service
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of our platform offerings
- Curate trade deals, negotiate using the agreed run rates and execute accordingly
- Liaising with marketing to develop campaigns that target specific customer segments or geographic regions.
- Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders and support reporting processes to SA and HQ management teams.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Special Skills and Qualifications
- Strong supply and demand networks and contacts within the target sector/category.
- Proven record of sales growth. Minimum 10 years of experience in sector.
- Proven experience in B2B Sales, in the technology sector with a focus on Platforms as a Service will be of added value.
- Problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, Sharp negotiation and networking skills
- Educational background in business, sales or marketing.
- Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
