The role of Business Development Executive is to increase sales in System Certification and Training business units by doing regular client visits and managing Key Accounts for food sectors.
This role is also responsible for gaining new clients and retain existing clients by keeping customer satisfaction high, building relationships with clients to understand their business needs and drivers.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Responsible for identifying business opportunities in Food Sector to maintain profitable sales levels in accounts and for developing new accounts.
- Responsible for creating brand awareness of BSI in Food Sector and grow business and BSI market size.
- Responsible for the direct sales of BSI System Certification and Training products in South Africa, generating profitable sales on new and existing accounts.
- Provides accurate quotes on product pricing agreements.
- Ability to call on and travel to customer's and prospective customer's sites for on-site meetings.
- Emphasizes positive attractive features of BSI business.
- Takes advantage of any opportunity to upsell products to create additional sales and profit.
- Coordinates sales efforts with inside sales and provides flow of data on accounts, competitors and suppliers to product management.
- Sets and achieves challenging goals, and aligns all efforts within these strategic goals.
- Attending Fairs and Exhibitions to create new opportunities.
- Work in collaborative with Marketing people and keep close eye the market regarding competitor analyses.
- Knowledge about System Certification or Training is the reason for preference.
- Can qualify sales leads appropriately and pass on to relevant sales teams
- Ability to work on Sales ERM System.
- Can clearly outline to Clients why BSI is the preferred supplier,
- Able to articulate to Clients the value of the portfolio of BSI products and services
- Follow-up opportunities regularly from Sales system and update.
- Prepare monthly reports including forecast to the direct report every month.
- Graduate in engineer or related
- Fluent in English speaking and writing is required.
- At least 3 years experience in sales / field sales and in Food sector.
- Successful candidate must possess highly effective communication skills, as well as have the technical understanding of product differences, and their applications.
- Must have the physical ability to drive to and visit with existing and new customers in a certain geographic territory area.
- Must be a customer-centric, results driven salesperson with the skills to negotiate profitable transactions.
- Ability to work well with and effectively communicate with their Sales and Product Support teams.
- For male candidates, military service must be completed.
