We are seeking a self-starter to join our team as a Business Development Executive. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding our client base and revenue streams in the Regtech sector.
Responsibilities:
Spearheading Business Development Strategy:
Develop and implement business development strategies in existing markets.
Investigate and assess potential new markets for expansion.
Bringing in New Logos:
Utilize a hunter-type approach to secure new business opportunities.
Focus on acquiring new clients and expanding the Sybrin brand footprint.
Team Management and Support:
Manage and support a team of Account and Business Development Executives.
Take responsibility for the quality of proposals and ensure effective sales enablement.
Client Management:
Manage and grow new clients within the African market for the Sybrin brand.
Define sales strategies, win plans, and prioritize solutions within our portfolio for specified territories.
Strategic Engagement:
Engage strategically with clients on Sybrin Regtech solutions, ensuring executive-level sponsorship and alignment with marketing campaigns tailored to specific verticals and solutions.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with business units, ensuring correct messaging and solutioning within defined clients.
Liaise between the customer and internal teams, working in collaboration with local account teams.
Sales Initiatives:
Lead consulting-led sales initiatives within the defined territories.
Develop a go-to-market strategy and execute on the strategy.
Identify key players, analyze markets, and determine the best-fit solutions for segments.
Forecasting and Reporting:
Ensure accurate forecasting for resource planning and cash flow.
Communicate progress of initiatives to internal stakeholders and forecast and track account metrics.
Market Analysis:
Analyze targeted markets, recommend solutions, and advise on organizational impact.
Remain aware of product developments, references, and the competitive landscape in the Regtech industry.
Customer Interaction:
Interact with all roles at customer organizations, articulate the case for change, lead discovery analysis, and make recommendations based on regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Experience:
Proven track record in business development management with a focus on Regtech software, consulting, or services sales in Africa.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization.
Ability to manage multiple engagements, paying strict attention to detail.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
Existing relationships within the African markets are critical.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
Solution architecture mentality or experience is a significant advantage.
Travel:
Expected to travel frequently.
Attendance at relevant conferences is essential.
