Business Development Manager: Advanced Technologies - (JHB) - #546-08

We are seeking two exceptional individuals to join our Enterprise Business Unit as Business Development Managers for Advanced Technologies.

The ideal candidates must have a strong ability to acquire new partners and end-customers in conjunction with the partner channel. A key aspect of this role is the ability to cold call and sell innovative enterprise solutions, fostering educated and informed discussions with clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Relevant vendor certifications related to the IT industry.
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience product / account management.
  • Good track record in achieving revenue and gross profit targets.
Skills
  • Good understanding of the ICT industry and the ability to keep up with technology and industry developments
  • Brand specific knowledge of product and processes
  • Product knowledge
  • Distributor / partner understanding
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
Personal Attributes
  • A relentless focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a strong drive for success.
  • Ability to think creatively and propose out-of-the-box solutions to meet client needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Ability to handle rejection and setbacks with a positive attitude, and persistently pursue new business opportunities.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with the ability to adapt to new challenges and demands.
Responsibilities

Achieve Sales Targets
  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales goals.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Client Management
  • Oversee and manage the client journey, ensuring satisfaction and long-term engagement.
Contribute to Marketing Strategy
  • Play an active role in shaping and implementing the marketing approach for the Advanced Technologies business.
Oversee Service Delivery
  • Ensure that service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations and internal standards.
Operational Administration
  • Manage daily operational tasks efficiently to support business goals.
Vendor/Brand Requirements
  • Adhere to and fulfil vendor and brand-specific requirements.
Self-Development
  • Actively engage in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
Additional
  • Own reliable transport.
  • This is an office-based position in the Woodmead branch.
