Purpose of Job
Enable business development for the transport and industrial sector and increase market share growth as per set growth plan
Manage ongoing monthly sales to new customers by implementing tactical plans as defined in the commercial strategy
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
- Achieve targets set by management pertaining to transport and industrial sales volume and profits (i.e. gross and net profit).
- Advise customers on transport and industrial products and related services offered by Sasol Group to help clients realise value on their bottom line. Negotiate and agree with customers on prices, products, and service package.
- Achieve operating profit through margin management and checking ROI relative to set WACC.
- Generate leads and maintain a healthy pipeline based on set growth targets.
- Use market intelligence to develop reports on competitors tactics.
- Display experience in product pricing and profitability, dealing with senior stakeholders at a corporate level, working on large scale key accounts, and gaining new business within a specific market sector.
- Illustrate experience in managing CAPEX projects and knowledge of products and value in the industry.
- Demonstrate experience and understanding of the sales process within the petrochemical industry.
- Apply sales management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Comply with governance policies, procedures, and regulations including SOX and competition laws.
- Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
- Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with managers, peers, service and support functions, customers, and suppliers to enable the achievement of sales targets.
- Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.
