Business Development Manager: Patient support and Medical solutions

The Patient Support BD (PSP) Manager is responsible for growing business solutions and client relationships within IQVIA's PSP solutions portfolio. This role encompasses on-time and on-budget project delivery, mentoring and development of staff, and ensuring compliance with response time SLAs, KPIs, SOP adherence, and pharmacovigilance regulations. The PSP Manager will work under the Consulting team to ensure innovative program design and strategic process improvements. Additionally, this role involves effective collaboration with the PSP program manager/s, customer relationship management, business development, and achieving financial objectives in collaboration with the rest of the CES team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Relationship Management:
• Manage and grow relationships with the portfolio of IQVIA's PSP solutions.
• Consult with customers to understand their needs and position the most appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with the rest of the commercial team to generate incremental business through effective client relationship management.
• Prospect and develop new client relationships within South, West, and East Africa.
• Lead the development of insightful proposals and strategic sales presentations, including IT solutions.
• Project Management:
• Ensure best-in-class service delivery through internal coordination.
• Make strategic suggestions for process improvements to meet client commitments and quality service expectations.
• Leadership:
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and pharmacovigilance compliance.
• Adherence to compliance and data requirements
• Client Liaison:
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients in the regarding project proposals, contractual implementation, and other related matters.
• Achieve assigned financial objectives.
• Engage with all internal stakeholders to ensure well rounded and comprehensive problem solving for clients.
• Operational Effectiveness:
• Proactively develop broader and deeper knowledge of PSP methodologies and the pharmaceutical market through on-the-job experience and training.
• Solve problems and coordinate internally to ensure service delivery excellence.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in a management position within healthcare or business development in the healthcare industry.
• Experience in the design, management, and coordination of Patient Support Programs or similar initiatives is an advantage.
• Financial acumen is required.
• Exposure to working across broader geographies in Africa.
• Matric and tertiary qualification in a healthcare-related field or relevant experience.

Location:

• This position covers the geography of South, West, and East Africa. Person is based in Gauteng SA.
