We are looking for a young, hip, music festival attendee for this Business Development Manager role! Based in Gauteng your role will be to help them drive ticketing growth.The role will mainly be focused on sales and generating sustainable revenue, however due to the size of the business you will need to be an all-rounder, willing to take on ad-hoc projects and jump in when needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead-sourcing and qualification across different verticals and event-types.
- Helping with client account administration, pitch preparation and demos.
- Attending client meetings with members of the Partnerships team.
- Negotiating commercial terms with customers.
- Ability to close deals.
- Generate sustainable revenue.
- Play a key role in the running and development of our student brand ambassador network, in conjunction with our wider marketing team.
- Visiting brand ambassadors at their respective universities and meeting clients they have introduced.
- Assisting with access controls at events that require this.
- An understanding of ticketing and event management, including if you have repped for events companies.
- Sales or account management experience at another fast-growing technology company.
- Ability to multi-task with excellent organisation and planning skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to spot / create opportunities.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Go-getting attitude youre ambitious and believe you get out what you put in.
- Self-starters. Youll get trained and you are part of a team, but were moving fast, and we need people who can think for themselves.
- Feel comfortable pitching to customers and closing deals.
- You must have the right to work in South Africa.
- Bilingual: English and Afrikaans essential.
- Experience with CRM a must!
- This is a 100% remote position based in Gauteng, your own home office will be essential with backup power and wifi.
- Own reliable transport.
- Salary: R25000 - R35000 based on experience + cell phone allowance + lucrative commission
