The Santam Tied Distribution division has a position available for a Business Development officer. This position will be based in Sanlam Head Office Bellville and will report to the Senior Business Development Manager
Job Description
Santam places great value in our relationship with our business partners, which is why weve identified a need to avail ourselves to both Sanlam Tied Advisors and the Snr Business Development Manager through a dedicated support role. The Business Development Officer will be responsible to maintain relationships between the various internal channels within Santam, Sanlam and Sanlam advisors.
The successful incumbents responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Liaising with the Recruitment administrator for effective handover to on board new advisers
- On boarding for newly appointed Advisers
- Creating structure and guides to streamline processes for the on boarding journey for an Adviser
- Driving self-quoting capabilities with the advisers
- Structure production reports and payments to advisers on performances
- Effectively solve escalations/complaints and the management of expectations whilst utilising available resources
- Offer administration and business support in facilitating the completion of requests within published service level agreements.
- Formulate structured reports to Senior BDM, Advisers, Sanlam and Santam stakeholders.
- Administration support to the Senior BDM
- Co-ordinate training schedules with the various product providers
- Co-ordinate and manage logistics of workshops, Adviser connect sessions.
- Facilitating marketing related requests from Advisers
- Matric or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years exposure to the Personal and Commercial Lines policy administration and underwriting environment
- Minimum of 2 years in a broker servicing environment
- Good understanding of contact centre processes and SLAs
- Knowledge and understanding of the Tied Agency
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
