Brenntag SA is looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist, Animal Nutrition. The Bus Dev Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships within the Animal Nutrition industry. This position drives sales growth by creating selling strategies to grow market share in each relevant product and service offering, develops and leverages relationships with clients, and provides excellent customer service and technical expertise as required. The territory is South Africa

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage key suppliers, increasing exclusive supplier business.

Develop and maintain long term relationships with key decision makers with principles and customers.

Provide technical support for sales team and customers.

Assist in the development of supplier products within SA and neighboring countries.

Improve organisations market position.

Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and competitors i.e., Research the competition and the markets, and customers to stay abreast of competitors, developments in competitive products, and changes in the market. Share information with sales team as necessary

Identify new business opportunities.

Participate in setting pricing solutions.

Attend industry events.

Identify opportunities for campaigns, fairs, services and distribution channels that will increase sales.

Adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures & Policies

YOUR PROFILE

Matric

Tertiary qualification i.e., BSC Food Sciences/Technology/Chemistry/Bcom Marketing/Commerce/or relevant field

5-8 years Business Development/Technical Sales experience in the food/animal nutrition manufacturing/ingredients distribution industry.

Experience with CRM and MS Office

SAP knowledge advantageous

Valid drivers license and own vehicle
