BUTCHERY MANAGER – RETAIL- PHOENIX/ VERULAM
A leading Retail supermarket group is looking to fill the position of a Butchery Manager for their store in Durban
KEY RESPONSIBIITY AREAS
Managing department inventory
In-stock position
Pricing integrity
Merchandising
Labour/Staffing
Plan, order, prepare cutting lists, and process meat according to the work plan and standards to maximize sales and gross profit.
Ensure all new department associates receive proper training and supervision and will ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and displays.
May include the preparation of meat products involving the use of grinders, power jacks, scales, wrapping machines, saws and knives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Matric
- Experience as a butcher
- 3 years prior working experience as a butchery manager/ similar role.
