Purpose of Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing and procuring of OE, service parts and consumables at the right price on time at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times. Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.
- Manage production orders on the system, Place orders, Confirm orders, Change dates, Update order details (quantities, suppliers, prices, etc.), Receipt orders
- Calculate expected requirements (based on current stock levels, the critical list, and the production schedule). Predict batch size requirements (based on what is needed by production).
- Responsible to explain the data presented in the slotting room (overdue purchase orders, buffer levels, critical list, velocity, cage account, etc.) and communicate changing requirements with supplier.
- Negotiate subcontracting prices based on knowledge of material, part size, machining requirement, etc; manage the quotation process and manage lead times.
- Understand and manage the link between production orders and purchase orders; the time requirements between complete machine, balancing, and reworks. As well as manage rework orders in terms of part receipts and physical part location.
- National Diploma in Purchasing or equivalent
- 3-5 years related experience in an Engineering manufacturing environment
- Project Management experience
- Technical knowledge/experience will be advantageous
- Understanding of the following:
- MRP logic
- The Bill of Materials (BOM) and the impact on order creation.
