Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 1 x Buyer.

The main purpose of this role is Sourcing for local/central, Platform & Project teams, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Engineering and Infrastructure.

This role will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg.

YOUR ROLE:

• Deploy commodities strategy
• Ensure project execution in line with QCD objectives
• Pilot contractual relationships with suppliers for his/her scope
• Identification of project and business needs
• Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool
• Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers
• Setup contracts with suppliers based on agreed prices, leadtimes and labour rates
• Active participation to commodity strategy and panel laboration
• Closely work with sourcing project representatives (Project Sourcing Manager, etc)

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Business school or relevant qualification in purchasing
• Minimum of three years working experience in purchasing
• Continuously ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince)
• Team management (capacity to coordinate and ensure collaboration of teams)
• Advanced negotiation skills
• Complexity management skills
• MS Office
