Role Profile
This role will be responsible for the maintenance and ongoing development of the testing solution and coverage in various teams/products. Test engineers will be responsible for contributing and supporting the solutions in the engineering teams that will allow us to continue to release at pace, with confidence and with excellent quality of our backend solution and overall quality using automation and other supporting tools. .
Function: QA
The Quality Assurance function is dedicated to:
- API backend testing (REST services) using Postman and automation tools.
- Contribute to API automation repo.
- Develop and execute API tests using postman or automation tools provided to diagnose issues and bugs, creating test data when required.
- Identify, design, develop, execute and maintain automation scripts / code.
- Identify testing deficiencies and subsequently implementing API tests based on their
- requirements
- Develop status reports based on test completion/findings and communicate these to teams
- including any impact on the overall project plan.
- Troubleshoot issues experienced during testing
- Test case management, creation and execution
- Prioritisation of tasks, identification of items requiring escalation
- Analyse and capture testing metrics
Skills & Experience
- Well experienced in API testing methodologies
- Great organisational and time-management skills
- Has previously worked within a testing or QA function in a Tec or FinTech business
- Complete understanding of data important in producing a quality QA process
- Strong basis in programming
- Knowledgeable about cryptocurrency, DeFi or neo-banking
- Understanding of capital markets
- Demonstrable experience in working with complex systems, including the ability to present them to a non-expert, preferably in crypto, gaming or financial services environment
- Understanding of project management processes
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Strong python programming skills
