Key Responsibilities/outputs
- Manage advertising campaign trafficking through the companys central ad-serving technology platform
- Set up and maintain the advertisers and agencies in the ad-serving technology platform
- Set up and implement advertising campaigns in accordance with contractual obligations
- Actively manage the operational advertising relationship between the company and advertising clients, communicating and updating advertisers regularly.
- Ensure advertising set-ups and click-through URLs are correct at all times during the campaign period
- Manage and optimise campaign performance through continuous monitoring of campaign
- Achieve the minimum required turnaround time for campaign implementation and trafficking
- Provide feedback and meet the required reporting requirements as requested by advertising
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex problems in a simple manner to stakeholders
- Source campaign images, artwork or final material from advertisers
- Adhere to newsletter and mailer processes and procedures
- Provide technical support to internal and external clients and sites
- Ensure all documentation, reports etc are correctly saved in electronic filing system
- Analyse site advertising statistics and optimise site tagging
- In-depth understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem
- Solid understanding of the publisher ad serving environment
- Strong knowledge of programmatic buying and selling, particularly as it relates to private marketplace deals
- Excellent understanding of programmatic buying and selling technologies (DSPs, SSPs, and similar platforms)
- Proficient in Google Ad Manager 360 (Formerly DFP) or similar technology
- Good understanding of how online marketing campaigns are planned, executed and measured (eg: objectives, targeting, KPIs, user journey tracking, audience segmentation)
- Analytical mindset, able to identify trends in data and surface insights
- Understanding of Ad operations processes and best practices
- Proficient in Excel
- Good presentation skills
- Grade 12
- Min 3 years online advertising/trafficking campaign administration experience in an online advertising environment
- Proficiency in relevant software packages and applications
- Google Certificates
- Ability to create and maintain good relationships with client accounts
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask
- Confident with the ability to self-manage activities, yet able to work very closely with a team Attention to detail

- Technical experience with ad serving (troubleshooting code, creative tags)
- Experience working directly in Google Ad Manager
- Knowledge of 3rd party verification tools such as DoubleVerify / MOAT / IAS
- Knowledge of Data Studio or similar data visualisation tools
