Job Purpose
The candidate must be able to plan and set priorities in order to meet targets, a creative and innovative thinker with a strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to understand the need for a sense of urgency, a professional demeanour and the ability to effectively work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. Attention to detail and understanding of the importance of data integrity is vital for this role
Duties & Responsibilities
- Business development, networking and building relationships with employers
- The planning and execution of Career Coaching Sessions for graduates
- Consolidation of employability campus reports
- Assisting with internal communications and reporting
- Student and graduate support
- Drafting success stories for social media
- Providing employment readiness services
- Place Graduates with Employers
- Support Students in the workplace
- Co-ordination of work-based learning
- Reporting on progress of placements
- Planning and managing of events relating to the Graduate Employment Programme such as workshops and career expos
- Overseeing any other general Employability activities to ensure the smooth running of all key focus areas
- A tertiary qualification in any of the following fields; Marketing, HR, Business Admin, PR or Sales (Minimum NQF6)
- 3 - 5 years experience in a related field such as Sales, Recruitment, Training and Development or Graduate Placement
- Sales ability
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Attention to detail
- Customer service orientated
- Ability to effectively cope with change
- Deadline orientated and can work well under pressure
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
The campus opening times are from 08h00 until 17h00 Monday to Friday.
