About The Role
It is a remote based job.
This role will be responsible for managing and supervising the accounts payable department and staff in the organization. It also includes tasks like ensuring company policy is adhered to, general ledger is well-maintained and all payments are made from the companies side
More About The Role And Core Responsibilities
- Manage all AP payment invoices, manage deposits and cash management functions, while providing overall complete payroll disbursement oversight
- Responsible for the purchase ledger and management of day-to-day payments across the Group
- Design and implement controls around accounts payables, cash balances and cash disbursements
- Ensure timely and efficient processing of authorize AP invoices and cash disbursements including global payroll. Liaise with Manager to priorities payments and manage daily cash flows
- Generate payment and payroll runs from multiple international banking systems. Keep records to reconcile invoices to bank to accounting software
- Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete and accurate in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure invoices are properly reviewed and approved and booked in the financial accounting system consistent with internal policy at the right amounts and in the right currencies
- Manage available cash balances to ensure suppliers are paid appropriately
- Review Payment methods and implement efficiencies to streamline and reduce bank fees
- Use accounting system to prepare and post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records agrees with accounting system
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables and invoices. Prepare timely accurate balance sheet reconciliations for monthly close. Explain variances and maintain supporting files
- Ensure the accuracy of an organization' cash and payables records for payment, auditing and tax purposes
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, required
- At least 2 years of related experience required
- Strong aptitude for math
- Good communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in excel
- Analytical skills
- General knowledge of accounting principles
- The ability to be communicative and comfortable talking on the phone, via email, or face-to-face
