KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
To develop and manage the execution of a comprehensive
category strategy to improve costs, service, and quality across the
organisation. This role will focus on consolidating high-value, high-risk spend categories to achieve annualized cost savings, increased
availability of goods and services, and reduced supply chain risks,
which includes but not limited to:
- Category strategy development
- Supplier relationship management
- Cost saving and efficiency
- Contract management
- Category team leadership
- Regulatory compliance and corporate governance
- Statutory and legal compliance
- Work Ethics
- Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Supply Chain Management /
- Postgraduate Degree / MBA in Supply Chain Management /
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years operational Category
- Minimum of five (5) years operational supplier negotiation
- Minimum of three (3) years team leadership and
supervisor experience)
Other Requirements
- Drivers License - Code B/EB
- Medically Fit - Meet required medically fitness standards
- Accreditation Accredited Supply Chain Professional (E.g. CIPS)
- Work environment - Mining operations in the Northern Cape
- Travel Requirements - Travel between operational sites
- Category strategy development
- Expertise in developing category strategies or plans, including lifecycle
- Supplier relationship management
- Strong capability in managing suppliers to meet cost, quality, and

- Ability to negotiate contracts, achieve cost savings, and manage

The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package.
Preference will be given to designated groups and woman-in-mining candidates.
