CEO is needed for the KZNFLA, a non-profit organisation (NPO) that focuses financial literacy in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Province.
Job requirements:
- Minimum of five years senior organisational leadership and management experience in a not-for-profit and development sector.
- Able to travel provincially when required.
- South African citizenship or permanent residence status.
- English: excellent writing skills.
- Nguni language: speak, read and write.
- Ability to communicate in isiZulu will be an advantage.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- An understanding of the changing socio-political context and the impact on financial literacy transformation and the rural and urban poor.
- Trackable fundraising experience and financial acumen.
- Strong writing skills and ability to adhere to timeframes.
- Understanding and experience in developing networks, collaborations and partnerships.
- Well established experience with stakeholder engagement and management, including donors, partner organisation and communities.
- Must have own car.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the continual strategic thinking, positioning and direction of the NPO and provide overall strategic management.
- Ensure effective and efficient organisational development and management and promote and advance the NPO's mission and approach.
- Continually build and develop authentic and functional staff relations based on mutual respect.
- Ensure sound financial management and accountability based on ethical fiscal principles and integrity.
- Recruit the right mix of staff towards the implementation of the NPO's strategy.
- Ensure annual budgets are drawn up in a spirit of transparency and accountability.
- Identify and build strategic partnerships and networks and foster meaningful relationships.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities.
- Support Board development and be accountable to the Board.
- Maintain effective governance and administrations systems and procedures including policy development.
- Oversee and coordinate staff learning and development, coaching and mentoring processes.
- Consciously build internal leadership across the organisation.
