Duties and responsibilities:
- Change Management Process: Manage and coordinate IT change management processes in line with ITIL standards, ensuring all changes are reviewed, approved, and executed efficiently.
- Risk & Impact Assessment: Conduct risk and impact assessments for all change requests, ensuring that potential risks are identified, mitigated, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Change Advisory Board (CAB): Facilitate Change Advisory Board meetings, presenting change requests, and ensuring appropriate approval processes are followed.
- Change Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for all IT changes, ensuring all records are kept up-to-date and compliant with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the change management team and other departments, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed about the status of changes and any potential impacts.
- Post-Implementation Review: Lead post-implementation reviews to assess the success of changes, capture lessons learned, and improve future change management processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the change management process and work closely with the IT operations and project teams to implement process enhancements.
- Change Metrics: Track and report on change management metrics, providing insights into change success rates, failure rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- ITIL Foundation Certification (required).
- ITIL Practitioner Level Certification (preferred).
- Relevant Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci Change Management).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Change Management.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ITIL frameworks, specifically in change management.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in managing IT change processes.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and software development processes.
- Process-Oriented: Strong understanding of ITIL principles, particularly within change management, and ability to implement best practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze change requests, assess risks, and evaluate the impact on systems and services.
- Project Management: Experience in managing multiple change initiatives simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Leadership: Experience in leading change advisory boards and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve issues efficiently.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all processes.
