Manager: Organisational Change at NHBRC

Introduction

The purpose of the Manager: Organisational Change is to develop and implement a structured change management plan as well as manage, monitor, and evaluate change management in line with the Corporate Strategy of the organization.

Description

The Individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Provide input into the development of Corporate Change management strategies.
  • Developed change management plans including: communication plans, stakeholder management plans and resistance management plans to assist in the effective implementation of multiple projects.
  • Development of Change Management Frameworks and Methodology.
  • Develop and apply a structured change management strategy, approach and methodology in implementation of the projects.
  • Develop Concept Documents for Projects.
  • Perform Change Management for NHBRC internal stakeholders.
  • Manage Change Management meetings and developing reports.
  • Manage Change Management activities such as project planning, stakeholder management, requirements gathering, scheduling and work planning.
  • Ensure delivered change management projects meet the quality standards as per approved change methodologies.
  • Coach and develop managers in the different departments to ensure that there is capability to manage and sustain change in their department.
  • Conduct readiness and impact assessments and integrate into overall change management plan.
  • Facilitate process mapping sessions to inform the change impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with divisional managers in the formulation of action plans and activities to support project implementation.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the Change project team.
  • Handle all change management and communication queries regarding the change programme.
  • Lead and manage change management methodologies and processes to drive and influence managers to implementation and complete all organisational projects.
  • Lead and influence management to adopt a change culture.
  • Provide management with tools and methods to mitigate against resistance to change.
  • Establish change network, and up skilling of change champions and agents who will act as the communication link between the projects, change management and impacted users.
  • Analyse the feedback from the employee engagement sessions.
  • and collaborate with relevant Executives and Managers to craft strategies to ensure that initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals.
  • Provide change management support and influence on Organisational Development/Design projects to ensure successful implementation.
  • Conduct Research on Change Management Solutions.
  • Develop Statement of work for change management.
  • Responsible for Resource Planning for change management projects.
  • Conduct Focus groups to Identify organizational or team issues and recommend timely solutions.
  • Conduct culture surveys.
  • Interpret survey results and develop action plans.
  • Support Line Managers with identification and implementation of action plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the action plans.
  • Drive and initiate organisational initiatives to support culture change and the values of the organisation.
  • Conduct leadership alignment sessions to identify development needs in order to support NHBRC leaders in driving the desired culture.
  • Review the underlying themes of the staff culture survey and ensure that management actions are implemented as per approved action plans.
  • Facilitate initiatives to enhance the promotion of diverse and inclusive culture within NHBRC.
  • Ensure periodic climate and culture surveys are administered.
  • Conduct focus groups to ascertain culture findings.
  • Compile reports based on culture survey finding.
  • Develop communication plans as part of change projects.
  • Support the Internal Corporate Communications in the development of a communications and engagement plan.
  • Consult with managers and staff representative as required.
  • Facilitate Change Management workshops.
  • Enable capability development in NHBRC, in support of change management, and cultural change.
  • Develop communication material related to area of responsibility for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project related training for multiple projects.
  • Develop Term of Reference for change management committees.
  • Identify risks and challenges and develop action plan based on timeously solutions.
  • Adhere to project change management Governance reporting.
  • Respond to Audit findings and develop action plans.
  • Create and advocate an ethical culture within area of responsibility.
  • Identify risks related to Projects and compile an appropriate risk management plan.
  • Development of a functional budget aimed at achieving the approved objectives (operational, capex and budgets).
  • Implement and effectively manage the approved budgets, report variances and monitor the implementation of remedial actions to minimise impact.
  • Provide advisory role to the leadership to enable successful delivery of the organisation's change/culture objectives.
  • Assist managers and staff with change management initiatives.
  • Advise clients in the planning and execution of change management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain productive relations with internal and external customers.
  • Build, manage and maintain healthy diverse workable internal relations and implement remedial actions where required.
  • Attendance to development programs and interventions as per agreed Individual Development Plan (IDP).
  • Timeous submission of performance agreements and reviews.
  • Develop and implement internal Audit competency and delivery model
  • Deploy and manage the resource plan and ensure alignment to business needs
  • Conduct performance management and monitor performance on ongoing basis through mentoring, coaching, and reviews and take appropriate steps to correct performance issues.
  • Promote and implement a learning culture.
  • Deal with grievances, conflict and disciplinary issues and take appropriate actions in accordance with NHBRC Policy.
  • Recruitment and selection of suitable candidates according recruitment and selection procedures and EE targets.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must hold an appropriate bachelor's degree (NQF 7) preferably in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Social Sciences or related
  • Change Management Certification is mandatory
  • Minimum of ten (10) years working experience in organisational development experience
  • Minimum five (5) years in a supervisory or management level
