- This role supports the Franchise, in developing our channel commercial execution growth pillars.
- Provide full support to the GMs and other Franchise Leadership positions in their interactions with the Bottling System related to the referred commercial execution growth pillars.
- Metrics Management: Custodian of all channel metrics. Responsible to manage commercial metrics dashboards. This role will also provide commercial analysis and reports. Build right systems and routines to collate and publish reports for the team.
- Support and lead the development & implementation of joint business plans that are comprehensive, realistic, and aligned with Operating Unit plans, as well as with the Customers plans in the geography.
- Lead the System to effectively serve key accounts and ensure high levels of partnership and satisfaction.
- Project management of various channel initiatives
- Identify Channel trends/opportunities and develop plans to close gaps in delivering channel ABP plans/gaps to target.
- Review global Best Practices & implement those applicable & share market wins/best practice for scaling across Africa (support from channel)
- Annual volume plan for the channel & monthly rolling estimates
- Input on country Marketing & Innovations plans to ensure a clear commercial integration.
- Input on Campaign Sell In documents to bottler.
- Input into landscape/segmentation/channel mix evolution
Experience
- University Bachelors degree minimum
- Prior commercial/franchise operations experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to work across cultures, and multiple functions.
- Strong, proven self-starter with superior leadership skills and capabilities
- Proven ability to lead and influence teams to align resources towards a common goal, leveraging best-in-class approaches and methodologies; ability to effectively interact and influence various levels of management across the system.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Commercial with strong skills in Commercial and Channel Strategy, etc.
- Proven strategic and analytical skills as well as outstanding interpersonal, communication and influencing abilities.
- Desirable to have candidates with Bottler and/or Customer experience.
This role requires significant interactions across the system, with Franchise leads, bottler counterparts and cross functionally (including the network of the C&CL function).
The Complexities Of Communication Entail
- Interaction with a diverse range of organizational levels, ranging from function heads (C&CL, Franchise) to bottlers and commercial leads.
- Managing the balance of consulting and providing support to Franchise, including an appropriate level of push back where needed.
- Requires sensitivity to franchise issues and experienced interpersonal skills as well as presentation skills, both verbally and in writing.
- System: Communication to support Franchise Leadership on C&CL strategies/capabilities alignment and implementation, KO System strategic direction/ priorities and performance with Bottler senior leaders
- External: Communicating with senior leaders of major customers, key advisors and other stakeholders to progress and successfully deliver on key business development initiatives
