Job Summary

Assisting the Business Distribution Manager in implementation of the strategic channel roadmap and driving channel sales initiatives in order to meet and exceed stipulated targets. Specific focus on driving digital sales and supporting advisors on resolution of existing business issues, while ensuring the retention of business.

Job Description
  • Participates in and contributes to continuous improvement projects for the channel and is a key contact and entry point into Absa Life by virtue of the fully underwritten and investments product ownership within the channel.
  • Participates in innovation solutioning and provides input into problem solving. Contributes by providing alternatives and differing viewpoints.
  • Works with Distribution Support Managers, Consultants, Operations, Product Development, Pricing, amongst other areas, to deliver specific product, business as usual and project outcomes.
  • Contributes towards a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Sales Planning and Management: Responsible for delivering on the sales strategy and plans, in line with business view and to continually deliver on business performance ensuring forecasted targets are met or exceeded.
  • Sales activation and campaigns: Continuously drive sales campaigns and initiatives and ensure that the operational teams are thoroughly briefed through engagement prior to the commencement of new campaigns.
  • Development and maintenance of relationships: To develop and maintain sound relationships across the business and with distribution partners to ensure support of Sales Commercialization & Business Development
  • Tools for business enablement: Providing support across the Sales channels and operational areas, with the relevant training tools to drive awareness, understanding and sales.

  • Risk administration system knowledge an advantage
Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
