Gusto has an exciting opportunity for a determined and food-loving individual with the desire to take a small and successful business to the next level. The ideal candidate will step in for our current manager/chef, who is emigrating with his family after three years at the helm. Passion for food is essential, as is own transport. Hours are flexible and a competitive salary is negotiable based on experience and skill.
About us:
Gusto is a Spanish culinary enterprise specialising in markets, private events and festivals. In six years of operation we have appeared all over the country and been featured in a host of publications including Wallpaper Magazine, Food & Home and Anthony Bourdain’s series ‘Parts Unknown’.
Our signature dish is Spanish paella, made in large pans imported from Valencia. We operate from a prominent spot at the The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock on Saturdays and The Earthfair Market on St. Georges Mall in the CBD on Thursdays. We cater for private parties and occasions throughout the year.
Gusto is one of three businesses founded and run by Andrew Kai and Matthew Freemantle, who went on to host the 10 edition sold out supper club SUP and a Max Bagels, a popular deli on Bree Street serving authentic New York-style bagels. The pair has collaborated with food event curators Studio H at a number of events including the Street Food Festival ZA .
