Job Description
Chief CAD Bridges
AECOM South Africa is looking for an experienced BIM and CAD chief modeller for the delivery of diverse local and international bridge projects. Key responsibilities would be the preparation and management of bridge drawings using CAD or Revit.
Job Summary:
- Preparation and management drawings for bridges, culverts and other road related structures
- Preparation and management of reinforcement detailing and bending schedules
- 3D Revit modelling of bridges and culverts based on road and rail alignment models
- Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Applying the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work
- Knowledge of SANS, TMH7 and other relevant standards will be a benefit
- Minimum of fifteen years experience in the drawing and modelling of bridges, culverts and other road related structures
- Proficiency in AutoCad, MicroStation, Revit, or Civil 3D
- Proficiency in rebar detailing software (CADS RC or similar) will be a benefit
- Good knowledge of the SANRAL and Western Cape Provincial Governments drawing procedures will be a benefit
- Experience of SOFiSTiK Bridge Modeler and or Bentley Open Bridge will be a benefit
- Experience of modelling reinforcement in 3D will be a benefit
- Ability to plan and execute work independently
- Commitment to meet deadlines
- Dedicated to deliver correct and accurate work
- Good communication skills.
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or CAD drafting
- High Revit competency and specialist 3D modelling of bridges will be a benefit
- Professional Registration will be a benefit
