Role Objectives
The Divisional Chief Financial Officer is responsible to develop and safeguard a sustainable financial strategy for the business, through the creation and implementation of strategic financial management and reporting, business analysis, budgeting, controls and forecasting. Further to ensure ongoing viability and secure the financial future in line with the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial support and guidance to the Business Unit, and Hollard partners where appropriate; including all necessary reporting
- Provide strategic financial direction to financially re-engineer the business to targeted profitability
- Provide strategic financial M&A support where appropriate
- Ensure financial controls are designed, implemented and managed within the BU
- Analyse, report and review of BU profitability, trends and balance sheet
- Interact with Reinsurance, Actuarial and Tax to ensure an integrated Financial support to the BU
- Ensure efficient and reliable Financial operations
- Manage operational financial processes to ensure efficient partner and business support
- Manage the budget process including CAPEX in line with group processes and guidelines
- Deliver capital management of projects to determine and guide activities that produce an attractive rate of return
- Provide actionable, relevant and time sensitive insight and information to the BU CEO to enable key business and strategic decisions
- Provide Finance leadership on Process Efficiency, Business Performance Measures and Management, Analytical Support and Predictive Analysis
- Integrate internal business information with market events and industry knowledge to identify new opportunities and formulate strategy
