Responsibilities
- To strategically direct and oversee the implementation of appropriate financial accounting, management accounting and supply chain management strategies and plans for the various business units by introducing appropriate financial, accounting and procurement systems, processes, procedures, policies and internal controls in line with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and Board requirements
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategy and resourcing of strategic objectives in a sustainable manner
- Oversee the provisioning of financial management services
- Oversee the provisioning of management accounting and budget management services
- Oversee the provisioning of supply chain management services
- Oversee adherence to reporting timelines
- Assure the embedding of risk, compliance, and audit practices all the Divisions processes and systems
- Manage the Division's resources (people, finance and assets)
- CA(SA) with 10 Years post article experience of which 5 must be in a Senior Management role preferably in the Public Sector
- Sound knowledge and experience in Financial Management
- Extensive knowledge of GRAP, PFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of Corporate Governance Systems (King IV report) and Risk Management.
- Extensive management and leadership experience
