Working hours: Monday Friday: candidate is required to remain available for 40 hours per week but will generally work from 14h00 19h30

Duties: Collecting from school, extra murals, educational and age appropriate stimulation, assisting with anything childcare related, general care and supervision, assisting with errands and grocery shopping with the domestic lady at home over the phone at 10h00 on days needed, preparing meals for the children, assisting with bath and bedtime routine, potty training. The family is wanting the candidate to become a second mother or older sister to the children. The candidate has to be able to help supervise the domestic and make important decisions on our behalf when we are not there.
Requirements: mature, fit, compassionate, well-organized, and responsible. The family are introverted and the candidate would need to be comfortable with this. Positive reinforcement is encouraged although it is necessary to be extremely firm sometimes, especially when it concerns the children's safety (like crossing the road and not hurting each other). Excellent written and spoken English as well as very good table manners.
Start date: July 2024 start permanent contract
Salary: R17 320 per month plus petrol for any driving done within working hours

- Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
- Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
- Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
- Must have a clear criminal record
- Must have a passion for children
- Must have Matric
- Must have a South African ID document.
