Main responsibilities:
- Engineering modelling and prepare/assist with components of Engineering design with guidance and inputs from senior engineers
- Preparing design deliverables including design reports, models, BOQs, drawings etc.
- 3D modelling and coordination of infrastructure and multi-disciplinary projects
- Maintain project records in accordance with internal quality system
- Work closely with multiple disciplines ensuring integration of systems and spatial coordination is achieved
- Using company standard collaboration and coordination tools such as BIM360, Revizto, and Asite
- Automation of daily workflows are welcomed and encouraged
- Regular contact and communication with the Project Engineers
- Ensure that work is done in accordance with acceptable standards of both Royal HaskoningDHV and its Clients
- Working on international projects and getting to know and applying the relevant country and project specific standards
- B.Eng/B.Tech or related qualifications.
- Certification from either BIM, Revit MEP, Architecture, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical preferred
- Minimum 4 to 7 years relevant experience
- Professional registration or Candidate registration with ECSA
- Proficient / Competent with AutoCad, Civil 3D, Revit and related software
- Digital/BIM training and implementation of ISO19650 standards preferred.
Computational design thinking
Good understanding / outputs from hydraulic and surge analyses and design and optimise networks based on outputs.
Ability to work with and apply a wide variety of codes and standards and compile and review project specifications.
Experience with multi-disciplinary teams on water projects will be advantageous.
Design and modelling experience in the following areas of water infrastructure:
- Pumpstation design for water distribution, wastewater conveyance as well as treatment and processing plant internal pumpstations.
- Reinforced concrete water retaining reservoirs, water and wastewater treatment components and chambers.
- Interconnecting pipework, fittings and associated components.
Practical knowledge, use & application of EIR, BEP, MIDP, DPOW, etc. based on project experience.
A clear understanding of Level of Information Needs in correlation to appointed scope for each work stage
Practical knowledge and experience in standard methods and terminology outlined in the ISO19650-1/2
AT least Intermediate level of knowledge in the use, application & management of BIM Cloud Platform - Autodesk BIM360 Collaborate.
Experience in the following software and applications preferred:
o High level of experience in the use of multiple BIM Authoring Platforms such as Autodesk Revit.
o Working knowledge of software packages Revit, Civil 3D, EPANET and EPASWMM, Devotech iDAS will be advantageous
o Using tools such as BIM360, Revizto, and Asite for design coordination and review
o Competence in using PowerBI or similar packages is advantageous.
o Scripting, workflow automation and programming is advantageous.
Knowledge of GIS packages and integration is advantageous.
