- An engineering firm specializing in roads, bridges, and civil construction seeks a Quantity Surveyor to arrange final allowables for Site Agents and Divisional Managers, and finalize work code allocators, and trade codes per item.
- Change split rate worksheets for ancillary items, create and update MOS worksheets, and daywork sheets.
- Create extra works worksheets change resource codes as required and check all unit costs.
- You will need to use WBS worksheets and BOQ to programme projects using CPA.
- Apply resource leveling.
- Update the program monthly and submit progress to the Site gent.
- Update programme to incorporate an extension of time claims.
- Do reporting, manage measurements, do cost management, and contractual management.
- Check all benchmarks, survey beacons, and existing connection points for accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies from the plan or existing information.
- Check levels of the previous day, especially where work has to continue.
- Ensure that each team has line and level in place to start work timeously.
- Locate all indicated existing services report line and level clashes.
- Check and observe level and line during pipelaying.
- Report any deviations immediately. Responsible for the recovery of survey material.
- Min a professional diploma in Quantity Surveying, together with a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience.
