The Impact Youll Make in this Role
As Government Business Developer for Medical Solutions Division at 3M South Africa, West Cape, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, You Will Make An Impact By
- Being responsible for the strategic customer relationship with the Western Cape government sector.
- Supporting government affairs manager and government team with strategy and plan execution, collaboration, and activities in the territory.
- Ensuring 3M resources are leveraged and deployed to provide comprehensive products, services, and solutions to the DOH and WC government sector.
- Optimizing opportunities with the government sector and creating mutual value, growth, and profitability.
- Achieving defined goals.
- Building relationships and cooperating with key decision makers.
- Implementing account strategy, identifying opportunities, and managing the account relationship process.
- Supporting our patients and clinicians, when needed afterhours, as part of the position.
- Working with multiple levels and subsidiaries with high focus on C-suit and KDMs.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Completed grade 12.
- Tertiary qualification (diploma/degree) Marketing, Medical field, BSc, Medical Technology.
- Effective written and verbal skills.
- Must be well organized, detail orientated, well developed planning abilities and must be able to use own initiative.
- Understand marketing strategies.
- Understand people and their needs.
- Ability to be patient and educate effectively.
- Strong administration skills.
- A minimum of 8 years working experience within the Government sales environment in a medical field.
- Proven track record of sales targets, and growing market share.
- Team Player.
