Purpose Statement
To provide operational support/service, by focusing on the provision of relevant financial information as well as the balancing of respective BGL and Control accounts within the reconciliation area, all to enable the Reconciliation team to deliver efficient and effective customer service.
Experience

Minimum:
2-3 years experience in Financial Services, with exposure to
Banking/Finance GL and Reconciliations
Card
Ideal
3+ years experience in a banking environment, of which 2 should be in a Reconciliation role.
Qualifications (Minimum)
A relevant qualification in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Commerce
Qualifications (Ideal Or Preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Commerce
Knowledge

Minimum
Knowledge of Operational Risk
Knowledge and understanding of Visa and MasterCard Rules & Regulations, Visa and MasterCard Operating Regulations regarding Card production & distribution, Code of Banking Practice, FICA & Money laundering Act
Knowledge and understanding of Accounting and Reconciliation concepts (understand entries and be able to do account reconciliations)
Knowledge of:
Basic BaNCS
Prime
Ideal
Knowledge and understanding of card personalisation technology
Banking Policies and Procedures
Knowledge of Card settlement processes
BaNCS / BaNCS Treasury
Skills
Communications Skills
Numerical Reasoning skills
Attention to Detail
Problem solving skills
Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
