Responsibilities
- Perform sleep diagnostic procedures, including polysomnography (PSG), multiple sleep latency testing (MSLT), and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), while adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, explaining diagnostic procedures, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Apply and calibrate monitoring devices, including EEG, EOG, SATS, respiratory sensors, and other necessary equipment for accurate sleep diagnostics.
- Monitor patients during onset of sleep studies to ensure data quality and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Assist with preparing comprehensive reports and collaborate with referrers and suppliers in developing treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Provide administrative support to the clinical practice, including scheduling appointments, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals and departments.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in sleep medicine through continuous education and professional development.
