Qualifications
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified, experienced, and deadline-driven candidates for the above-mentioned positions. The incumbents will be responsible for clinical teaching, accompaniment, and assessment for undergraduate programs. As part of the clinical training team clinical facilitators participate in community engagement which is integrated with teaching and research. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree in nursing
- Diploma/Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Nurse Educator, Assessor and Moderator.
- Five years of working in a hospital or clinic setting
- Skills in clinical mentorship
- Experience in community engagements
- Advanced computer skills
- Knowledge of teaching and learning and clinical facilities/technologies
- Development of clinical teaching and assessment material for students
- Demonstrate skills to students and support them during clinical accompaniment, feedback for formative clinical assessment and capture marks
- Accompany and mentor students in the clinical setting (within the 75/25 clinical/theory ratio).
- Prepare and conduct summative clinical assessments.
- Identify, develop, and implement projects that are tailored for the community, with student involvement.
- Undertake clinical research and publish articles.
