Requirements:
The applicant should have some experience working in an inpatient setting, be a fully qualified clinical psychologist, registered with the HPCSA and BHF and have the capacity to work under pressure. Experience working with substance use will be advantageous. Starting date will be: Latest 1st April 2017.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Conducting group therapy sessions as needed.
- Conducting individual and family therapy sessions as needed.
- Administering assessments when needed.
- Management of Individual cases as needed.
- Attending ward rounds and providing feedback regarding the patients’ treatment.
- Fulfilling administrative requirements in line with HPCSA regulations.
- Fulfilling administrative duties for COPE as required for the smooth running of the units.
- Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, including with the psychiatrists, and liaising with other professionals as necessary.
- Assisting with and covering the duties of other COPE team members as required.
